AMR - Nicholas Metropolis Fellowship

The Applied Mathematical Research Nicholas Metropolis Postdoctoral Fellowship program at Los Alamos National Laboratory is to support an outstanding postdoctoral fellow in mathematical or computational science. The Applied Mathematical Sciences Postdoc Program is designed to attract academically superior students and postdocs in science and engineering, and to afford them hands-on research experience as well as access to the extensive scientific resources at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The fellow will be selected from a broad range of disciplines, but preference will be given to those in the fields of applied mathematics, numerical analysis, algorithm development, computational science, and quantifying uncertianty in predicting complex phenomena. The Fellowship appointment is for a period of one year with a likely renewal for a second year. It includes a highly competitive salary, moving expenses and a generous professional travel allowance.
