Rezoning of Triangular Meshes in ALE Simulations by Node Reconnection

A novel algorithm for rezoning of computational meshes is proposed, based on reconnection of nodes, without their repositioning. Since the ultimate objective is to develop a mesh-improvement method for ALE simulations, physical behavior of the system under study is taken into account by reconstruction of selected state variable. A practical implementation is suggested and the usability proven by numerical results.
