Research Interests

My research interests include nonlinear PDE. I am currently studying the nonlinear Schrodinger equation with Ken McLaughlin. We found solutions using Scattering/Inverse Scattering theory and Riemann Hilbert Analysis. During the summer I am working at the Los Alamos National Laboratory with Ildar Gabitov on nonlinear optics. We are attempting to solve an initial boundary problem of the coupled Maxwell Bloch equations, using Riemann Hilbert analysis.

Personal

I am originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I got my Bachelor's degree from Acadia University where I majored in Math and Computer Science. I am currently a student at the University of North Carolina where I hope to graduate with a PhD in december. Visit my UNC webpage, out of date as it is. For the past two years I have been visiting the University of Arizona working with Ken McLaughlin on my thesis.
